So far, February has been a great month for solar power. I'm averaging about 23 Kwh each day. The breakeven point for paying for power drawn from the grid is about 18-20 Kwh of solar poser, and since Rocky Mountain Power (RMP) zeros once a year in March the credit for any excess solar power, I'm using a space heater in the evenings to reduce the excess power being generated by my solar cells. I will lose in March the credit for any excess power, and I want to reduce that credit before it is removed. I'm hoping that during the seven months after RMP zeros my credit I will generate enough credit to cover my needs during the coming winter, thus only having to pay a $6.00 fixed fee each month and a small amount for other fees.
Later: the fixed fee mentioned above plus taxes and other fixed fees amounts to $9.01
