Snow looks nice but stops solar energy production

During the past several days, the daily production of energy has been less than 1 Kwh, due to snow covering the panels (as the days progressed, the depth of the snow went to about 6 inches). The daytime temperature has been below freezing, and that, along with cloudy skies, means the solar cells are covered with snow from the storm last week, and the snow has kept almost all of the light from reaching the cells. According to the forecast, there is one day next week in which the shade temperature may get up to the freezing point, and if the sky isn't overcast, some of the snow may melt from our solar panels.
